| | About these documents:
A web based merchant wishing to have a contract with another web site owner for linking to his site so that visitors come and buy his product or service, uses these documents in different situations. Although intended primarily for use between web masters, these documents can also be used as referral partner agreements between a website owner and a “bricks and mortar” based business or individual.
Who will use these documents?
- any web master looking to make a referral partner arrangement with a third party for introduction/referral of business;
- a person or company who operates a web site and wants to have a referral partner arrangement with another web site owner for linking to his own website so that visitors come and take some specified action to trigger the payment of commission;
- The owner of a web site from which he can direct his visitors to the web site of the first party and thereby earn commission by way of this contract.
Key features:
- ECM081 is for use for a pay on sales commission basis, allowing for 2 levels;
- ECM082 is a simpler version, pay per click one level only. Has been designed exclusively for use in a situation when the commission trigger is the arrival of the visitor on a specified page;
- ECM083 is for use on pay per click or pay per any other action - join or provide information, etc, allowing for 2 levels;
- good for use by merchants selling product or service or both and a third party “business partner” to whom the merchant pays commission on sales;
- one or two level programme;
- site visitors can be tagged to enable commission to be paid at any future time, not just at first visit;
- both sides are properly protected;
- avoid the merchant's usual inflexible terms and conditions in a contract and provide instead a framework among equals, the terms of which are negotiable;
- suitable for all web sites and types of businesses.
