About this document

This agreement covers the usual agency relationship, where the agent has responsibility for selling the goods, marketing as you direct and maintaining customer goodwill, and you remain responsible for fulfilling orders.

It gives you a high level of control over the arrangement, providing an administrative framework and protecting your business. For example, you can state how the goods can be sold, how customers should be managed, and what information you require from the agent.

Use it to set up one or more commission agents to sell goods in the United Kingdom or further afield such as in EU countries.

You could use the document either as the basis for individual discussion or treat it as your standard, fixed terms.

The explanatory notes included at the end of the document guide you as to how to comply with the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993.
