About this document
This is an exclusive agreement between the proprietor of certain “existing work” – the  licensor, and the licensee.  The licensee acquires the right in the proprietor’s existing work to use, amend and exploit it for the development of media which the licensee would use throughout a defined territory. For example, the licensor may have a book, song or composition which the licensee would like to use.  This document allows the licensee to edit or alter the material or combine it with other material as per his requirements.  The license to do this lasts only as long as the term in the document (you choose) and may only be used in the geographical area you agree.
The document allows the licensee the rights to reproduce, publicly display and publicly perform the existing work, as incorporated in the media, in any manner, medium or form.  The licensee may also market, promote, sell, and distribute copies of the media both directly to end users and through distributors, dealers, resellers, agents and other third parties.
The licensor may only edit or alter the material or combine it with other material subject to the licensor’s consent or approval. If you require a document where the licensee is free to determine how to use, edit and amend the material entirely, without the consent of the licensor, consider other document, linked below.
