System and confidentiality
A 1.

What if I pay too little and need more advice?
We will provide the best advice we can for the money you have paid. If we think we are unable to provide an adequate response in the time bought, we will tell you. You can then decide whether to add more money or have your payment returned. You can buy more advice at any time.

A 2.

Can I use the same adviser on a particular project and what about for other projects?
If you order more time for your “case”, you will always have the same adviser as before. For later “cases”, by all means ask for the same adviser as before when you complete the instructions form. We will provide his services if he is available.

A 3.

What if I pay too much and my advice takes less time than I thought?
We do not refund unused time for 10 minute advice. For anything longer we will return any sum over £5 if we have not heard from you within a week.

A 4.

How can you assure me of confidentiality?

  • We do not take, receive or record your financial information. That is handled for us on a secure page by      our merchant service providers.
  • We use solicitors who are members of the Law Society of India and subject to professional rules similar       to those in the UK.
  • We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner.
  • We have a spotless reputation which is the lifeblood of our continuing trade.
  • Technically, we have auto systems where by the only people who have access to data are those who      must see it for the purpose of providing the advice you seek.

  • A 5.

How long do you keep my questions and the advice you give me?
Your personal information and case details will be kept for between 3 and 6 months. After that, all personal info will be deleted from our system, but basic case details and the advice we gave will be kept for as long as we decide, in order to expand our knowledge base for work for others. Please note that all such information is filtered to remove any element which could identify you or your company.

    A 6.

What if I need further advice 7 months after the first?
You will have to start afresh with a new payment and by sending to us a copy of your first instructions and of our advice to you.

    A 7.

Can I change my contact info?
Yes, at any time. However, because your information may be extremely confidential, we will send your new details only by post to the address you last gave to us (not to any new address).

    A 8.

    Can I contact my adviser?
Yes, by email, but remember that contact takes time and will be recorded against the cost of your case.

    A 9.

What happens if the story I give does not tell you enough to advise me?
We shall advise on the information we have been given. If it clear that no helpful advice can be given for the money paid, we will tell you immediately.

    A 10.

What are the sources of law used by your solicitors?
Exactly what sources we use are a business secret. But we do have subscriber access to the same sources as are available to a larger firm of UK solicitors.

    A 11.

Who can use the advice you give?
Our terms of business allow our information to be used by:

  • the person buying
  • the organisation in which that person works
  • a subsidiary company of that organisation
  • a client of a person who works in a recognised profession when that person buys the service

  • Payment and invoice
    A 12.

    How do I pay?
Simply choose the time period you would like and follow the system. We pass you to WorldPay for the payment to be made.

    A 13.

How secure is your payment system?
Totally secure. It is operated by WorldPay, one of the largest payment portals in the World.

    A 14.

    Do you take a cheque?
Yes. The option to pay by cheque is given as you pass through the payment system.

    A 15.

Can I subscribe a larger sum and obtain advice whenever I like?
Not yet, but definitely coming soon.

    A 16.

Can I permit my staff to use the system?
Of course. To us each person who uses the system is a different client, so it is important for you to maintain continuity for any one case.
