  The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004(1).
   
  In accordance with section 19(7) of that Act, she has consulted such persons as she considered appropriate.
1- Citation, commencement and application
  (1) This Order may be cited as the Fire and Rescue Services (England) (Amendment) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 31st October 2007.
  (2) This Order applies in relation to fire and rescue authorities in England only.
2- Amendments to Fire and Rescue Services (England) Order 2004
  In the Schedule to the Fire and Rescue Services (England) Order 2004(2) (authorised charges), at the end, add—

           
           
  “14. Provision of administrative, professional or technical advice or services related to the operation of a regional fire control centre.   A company to which the service is provided, the members of which comprise fire and rescue authorities in England (whether or not those include the authority providing the service) and whose objects include the operation of a regional fire control centre.”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
 
  This Order amends the Schedule to the Fire and Rescue Services (England) Order 2004 (S.I. 2004/2305) to enable a fire and rescue authority to charge for administrative, professional or technical advice or services provided to a company whose objects include the operation of a regional fire control centre and whose members comprise fire and rescue authorities in England.
   
  A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
