Who we are and how we work

Who we are
Net Lawman Ltd is an English company operated by Andrew R. Taylor. Most legal work is undertaken by Andrew and Rajeev Goswami, assisted by English barristers for employment specialist work, and Rajeev's small team of Indian lawyers, as required.

Andrew Rhodes Taylor BA(Econ)
Andrew has a degree in economics and was an English solicitor for over 20 years. He resigned voluntarily as a solicitor in order to operate Net Lawman with unrestricted advertising. He has specialised primarily in commercial and company law. Working in a high street practice, he has covered a wide range of law. During that time, he has also been involved as a director and shareholder in a number of businesses, principally connected with commercial property or the Internet.

The document templates sold by Net Lawman have been drawn by Andrew and a small team of specialist solicitors and barristers. The documents are regularly updated to take account of new law.

Rajeev Goswami BSc, LLB, ACS, ACIS, MICA, ADSM, Dip. IPR
Rajeev Goswami is a lawyer working from India where his small team provides the commercial law support for Net Lawman.

Rajeev studied at Bareilly College (MJPR University) where he obtained a bachelor's degree in science. He then moved on to Delhi University where he obtained a law degree. He also enjoys the following qualifications and memberships:

  • Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (from which he received the 'Silver Medal' for all India highest marks in Corporate Laws paper.)
  • Associate Member of the (English) Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
  • Advanced Diploma in Sales Management from National Institute of Sales, India and a Diploma in IP Law from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) which serves as a center of excellence in teaching, training and research in IP.
  • Member of the Indian Council of Arbitration.

India is a common law jurisdiction, originally based on English law. Rajeev has first hand knowledge of English corporate law after studying for the above qualifications. He has been practicing Corporate and IP law for over 6 years.

He has also held the position of Partner (Head – IP division) in a leading Indian law firm before becoming associated with Andrew Taylor in Net Lawman.

Rajeev and his team provide the legal response for most of the advice service offered by our sister site www.Expert-Legal-Advice.co.uk.

Ulrike Doheny-Adams
Uli was born in Hamburg, Germany. She is tri-lingual English-German-French. She read English at Reading University then moved on to the College of Law in London. After qualifying as a solicitor, she joined a “high street” firm of solicitors, where she specialised in family law. She was a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association.

Uli now lives in France with her family.

Uli gives advice that is always positive, pragmatic and helpful. She understands how difficult it is to be objective in a highly emotive situation. She will be strong in her support for you, firm in her dealings (through you) with any other party, and flexible enough to find the best solution for you.

At Net Lawman Uli provides the family law service and has drawn all family law documents.

How we work
The Net Lawman service is designed to fill a gap between on the one hand the mass of “contractual” letters and messages produced by every business every day with confidence and on the other hand those cases where solicitor help is essential.

In other words, if you require help, you can probably find it here, very quickly and at low cost.

Because we are not solicitors, we are not permitted to offer a full range of legal services. But within the range we offer, we aim to provide a service second to none. You will find us fast, receptive and efficient.

Net Lawman legal advice is provided on a “no liability” basis. The business is not regulated by The Law Society.

Our document service
Of course we have no control over how you use our documents, but with common sense and a little care, we are confident that most businesses can save many thousands of pounds a year by using Net Lawman documents. The reasons are:

  • Our documents are “real” template documents, like solicitors would use, not “Toytown” versions you might buy elsewhere. They are updated from time to time as new law requires.

  • All our documents are in plain English - despite the earnest endeavours of the Parliamentary Draftsman to complicate our lives with jargon.

  • Our legal documents come with extensive, helpful explanatory notes, so when you buy from us you can be more confident in how you use the document.

  • You can use our documents repeatedly. (But the law does change. The document you buy today may be out of date tomorrow!)

  • The prices are very low. Though we criticise the solicitors' monopoly, we know that a practising certificate comes with strings attached - or perhaps we should say chains! Solicitors really do have to take your full instructions and provide full advice before they can provide the document you know you can handle yourself. So pay us £40 or pay your solicitor £1,000. It is just a choice.

  • We have professional advice available to back you up. Whatever your document drafting problem, you can come to us for additional advice. You are never alone.
