We provide:

·        Will templates in plain English with comprehensive explanatory notes

·        Prepaid, legal advice on your will

·        Support and guidance at every step – we make sure your will is right for you

The wills templates:

We have drawn a set of wills which are, above all, comprehensible.  As a document type, wills are one of the oldest.  As a result, lawyers have been using badly written ‘home-made’ wills and then adding complicated legalese provisions, for a very long time. Some jargon is inevitable.  However, Net Lawman will documents are written as simply as possible.

Please do not assume we are simply another seller of “forms”. Our wills are very comprehensive, very clear and drawn by us.  We have carefully considered what your wishes might be and used our experience of what can go wrong, to make drawing your will as safe for you as possible. You may also have experience of solicitors who tell you that you need one or more documents 30 pages long to deal with a complicated situation of a “nil rate band discretionary trust”.  You do not.  28 of the 30 pages are no more than provisions relating to the powers of trustees and administration of trusts.

A Net Lawman will sets up your same wishes in a quarter as many pages and probably one tenth the cost.  We have left behind the world of legal mumbo-jumbo.  You will understand your Net Lawman will!

Explanatory notes: support and guidance

Most Net Lawman documents come with extensive drafting notes to explain points and advise you. Because the information you might need about your will is so extensive and because much of it applies to all wills, we have drawn a whole series of free information articles - you do not even have to buy a will document to learn all about a will.  These pages include basic simple advice about choosing executors, trustees powers, what is a tenant for life, advice about Inheritance tax and much more.  I want to read about wills.

One for you partner

Anyone can make a will at any time.  Net Lawman advice is to make the will you want and leave your spouse or partner to do the same. You may use a Net Lawman will once or twice, so it costs no more to use a template twice.  But that does not mean your will has to be the identical mirror of your spouse’s will.

 Read enough?  Choose a will?

Inheritance tax (IHT)

IHT affects almost everyone today.  Our briefest advice is: “Do not let the tax tail wag your financial dog!”  Subject to that, do give some thought to tax minimising.  However, successive governments have closed most “loopholes” so the scope for you to minimise IHT is largely contained in the basic law, rather than in esoteric schemes.  If your estate is worth more than, say, £500,000 we advise you to consult financial advisers.

We have explained the law on IHT in a series of separate articles.  These cover every angle and are taken largely from the Revenue and Customs’ own website, under licence.

Several Net Lawman will templates do have the effect of minimising or removing the obligation to pay any IHT on your death.  This is done by using a two year discretionary trust or making best use of your “nil rate band”.  Will 17 uses two discretionary trusts > one for the NRB and one for the two year rule.

Here are the wills templates and advice on how to choose the one that best suits your circumstances
