This notice complies with Housing Act 1988 Schedule 2A, paragraph 7(2) as inserted by Schedule 7 to the Housing Act 1996.
This notice should only be used by an assured tenant who wishes to notify the landlord that an assured tenancy be replaced by an assured shorthold tenancy.
The tenant must serve this notice on landlord before an assured tenancy can be replaced by an AST.
An alternative, slightly different notice should be used if the landlord is the party proposing the change.
